Brooklyn based saxophonist/composer Peyton Pleninger strives to change people with sound. While Peyton's music is deeply influenced by jazz, African and Cuban music, his studies in biology and philosophy have led him to a sound and concept uniquely his own.
Originally from Philadelphia, Peyton had the extraordinary fortune of studying with Anthony Tidd, who exposed him to a vast world of intricate rhythms and new influences. Since moving to Brooklyn in 2015, Peyton has studied with Ohad Talmor and Milford Graves. He leads his own band, Biotonic, which explores the relationship of cardiology and human experience through sound.
